Overview
Create a new template version by modifying an existing customized workflow. This allows you to swap company-specific forms for individual ones while keeping your core process intact.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Locate the Source Template
Navigate to the Knowledge Center > Case Template section.
Use the search bar to find your "Master" template (e.g., search "O-1").
Click on the target template card (e.g., O-1B (Migrated)) to enter the workflow editor.
Step 2: Access Template Configuration
Once you have located the source template, click the [Edit] button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Replace Company Content and "Save as New"
The goal of this stage is to swap out company-specific requirements for individual ones. Follow these 5 points to complete the transition:
Rename the Template (Box 1): Change the Template Name from "Company Petitioner" to "Individual Petitioner" to distinguish the new variation.
Remove Company-Only Forms (Box 2): Locate and remove forms that are Company petitioner exclusive. Example: Click the "X" to remove the G-28 Company version.
Add Individual Forms Replacement (Box 3-4): Click the "Add" button to insert the corresponding individual versions. Example: G-28 Person in replace of G-28 Company.
Save as New Template (Box 5): This is the final and most important step. You must click [Save as new template] to creates the individual version as a new branch while keeping your original company template untouched.
